Legacy International opened for business on June 1, 2009 and has grown to represent numerous different steel firms.  We also have a network of sales professionals located around country that help market market our product line.

Bill Ristau
President

Bill Ristau started his career with Inland Steel in 1976. Over his 20 years at Inland he worked in inside sales, finance, GM of Inland Steel Plate Company and ended up as General Manager of Sales. In 1995, he went to work for Ryerson as the GM of their Coil Processing Division. In 1998 Bill left Ryerson to become President of Century Steel. When Century was purchased by Esmark Steel, Bill stayed on and became Chief Commercial Officer of Esmark. Bill is a proud graduate of DePaul University and still has his basketball
season tickets. He and his wife Eileen have 4 girls and are the proud grandparents of 9 grandchildren!  Bill enjoys playing golf at Medinah Country Club.  

Ron Pretzie

Ron brings a diverse steel background and has spent 22 years starting at Carpenter Specialty Alloys back in 1999.  Since then, he has held various sales and management roles, and has vast experience and knowledge across many different market segments including but not limited to Aerospace/Defense, Agriculture, Fluid Power, Industrial and Automotive.  

Ron is born and raised in Chicagoland and when he is not working, he loves spending time with his wife Robyn of 21 years at one of their three teenage children's sporting events.  You can find him at baseball field, hockey rink, dance competition or basketball court any given day.
